Spin Cycle
Circulate’s first commission was Emergency Exit Arts’ spectacular musical on the move, Spin Cycle. Each show was supported by Emergency Exit Arts’ Street Arts Academy, groups of local young people who took part in workshops combining visual and performing arts. Audiences became contestants spinning to win the ultimate luxury lifestyle in a dangerous game of extreme shopping which ended with a challenge for everyone to come together to make a change to the way we live. Spin Cycle was a dark, humorous, interactive performance about waste and recovery, inspired by the book Affluenza.
